Peanut Free German Restaurant
Peanut Free German Bierhaus in London

Steins Berlin, Kensington, London
Steins Berlin is a German bierhaus near the Natural History Museum and V&A Museum in the Kensington area. We were thinking about going to a Polish restaurant nearby but couldn’t get a table there, so we roamed around and spotted this bierhaus unintentionally.
Our kiddo has a severe peanut allergy, so we informed the waitress and she provided us with the folder of allergen list…which was super helpful. She also confirmed with the kitchen that they do not use peanuts in any of the dishes on the menu.
Inside of the restaurant was warm and cozy. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We ordered:
Thüringer sausage served with Bavarian sauerkraut and German mustard (£18.40).
Nürnberger sausages (a portion of 3) served with home made mashed potato(£10.50) from the kids menu
Paulaner Hefeweizen (£4.60)
Radler (£4.20)
Bayerische Kalte Platte (£19.50)—Cooked ham, black forest ham, German pepper salami, Alpine cheese, Obatzda and cherry tomatoes served with a freshly baked pretzel and sliced rye bread
Food here was decently seasoned and spiced—it is not like that bland German food you had in mind. The services here were pretty slow but it is a bierhaus, nobody is in a rush to drink beer and enjoy the food.
If you are in the area, I think this is a good restaurant choice for an enjoyable lunch with some beer.
The prices here already include tax but do not include a 12.5% service charge.
